History
Ivory Dagger I
Durring the Bothan Assault on Remsi Prime in the year 100aby the Ivory Dagger was struck by heavy weapons fire while defending the planet from the unprovoked assault. The Cockpit Escape Pod system activated and detached from the rest of the fighter before it was totally destroyed, saving the life of Vincent Mikaru I.
Design
The design premise of the Ivory Dagger II was to simply rebuild the Ivory Dagger with minor modifications to make it more likely to survive combat. The modifications included a custom built QuadFusion Reactor that produced roughly 20% more power than the previous encarnation but with baffled systems to dampen energy leakage that could lead to easier target locks. The Shields were renforced around the fighter granting 10% more defensive coverage, and an additional 5cm of Ablative Armor was added around the hull which increased the bulk of the fighter. And two of the Laser Cannons were replaced with two 30 x 173mm Asynchronous Linear-induction Cannons to damage ships who's particle shields were designed to slower missile impacts and interstellar dust or lacked particle shields all together.
